Into That Better Version Of Yourself

GROW AS A PERSON

So …. we’ve looked at how to BE LESS, BE MORE and BE BETTER.

And these three areas form the basis of the next “step” – which is how we GROW as a person.

If we look for a definition of the word “grow” in a dictionary, we’ll find words like “develop”, “flourish”, “strengthen”, “mature”, “expand” and so on.

Great words but how does that help us?

Many of us will be familiar with “Continuous Professional Development” or CPD.

In many professions, CPD is a compulsory training/education process designed to ensure that the skills of those subject to it are kept “up to date” and that they are maintaining a course of “consistent improvement”.

Which is perfectly understandable – in a professional environment.

But how much attention do we pay to the idea of “Continuous Personal Development”?
How much, if at all, do we think about “personal improvement” in our own lives?

Think about all the areas in which we could potentially develop in our lives.

Learning new skills.
Taking up new hobbies.
Becoming fitter and healthier.

And so on.

We could do all sorts of things to “improve” ourselves, to enhance our lives, to grow as a person.

So why don’t we?

Part of the answer might be that we haven’t properly addressed the BE LESS, BE MORE and BE BETTER areas in our lives.

Part of it might be that we tell ourselves we just don’t believe we can develop ourselves as individuals.

Part of it might be that we make up “excuses” for not doing anything and then try to pretend to ourselves that these are actually “reasons”.

“I’m too busy”. “I don’t have time”. “I have too many other commitments”.
And so on.

Which is fair enough. We’re only “human” after all (and I’ve done all of that making up excuses thing myself too).

LET’S TALK!

build our self-belief in order to develop ourselves as individuals.

overcome the “excuses” which are holding us back.
